Fast, Accurate Scanning
Reducing incidents and improving patron safety is vital to the running of your business. However it can't be at the expense of delayed entry times and huge queues. That's why Scantek has been designed from the ground up to be both the fastest and the most accurate scanning system available and is being used in some of Australia's largest and busiest venues today.
Unlike some systems which can take between 8 and 20 seconds to scan a single piece of ID, Scantek completes this on average in a mere two seconds with unheard of accuracy. Easy To Use
Each Scantek unit has one scanner which reads all IDs. There isn't a separate scanner for passports, no buttons to push and no awkward covers or flaps to move on and off the the ID. Simply insert the ID and Scantek does the rest.
In just two seconds the ID is read and the results displayed on the screen in an easy to understand format for operators. Green means good, orange alerts the operator there may be an issue and red tells the operator that there is something more serious afoot.

Privacy and Security
Privacy and data security is paramount at Scantek. All patron information can only be accessed by specified accounts with the highest level of access to the Scantek Manager Interface. Activities of those accounts accessing information are also logged for review if necessary.
In the case of a patron visiting your venue, if they cause no incidents and are not excluded by management, their details are automatically removed after 28 days. This is in line with the length of time most states are required to keep their closed circuit tv footage, allowing ample time for victims to come forward in the case of any incidents.
While using the Scantek unit security operators are unable to view personal information once the patron has been scanned and actioned. Operators can do no more than they could do if they were performing a standard visual licence check when you enter a venue. Finally, excepting excluded patrons, no personal data is sent back to a central server meaning that your data stays your data.
Scantek's policy has never been and never will be to use or onsell data to anyone.

Scan All Valid IDs
Scantek can recognise and read all acceptable forms of IDs in Australia including Drivers Licences, Proof of Age Cards (including 18+, Keypass, Photo Cards) and Passports, both Australian and International.
The process from putting an ID in the Scantek unit to receiving a result is a quick 2 seconds.
In the short time after the ID is scanned, dozens of checks are performed including ensuring the patron is over 18, the ID details are correct, the patron has not been in the venue or previously denied that night or been banned from entering the venue for existing reasons.
The operator gets a simple "traffic light" response back informing them if the patron is welcome or not.Back to top
Exclude Problem Patrons
Scantek allows you to flag Patrons that have caused previous issues at your venue to prevent them re-entering at a later date. Based on the severity of their actions, you can determine how long they should be barred from re-entering.
During this time if they attempt to enter your venue, your security operator will be instantly alerted of the issue and can ensure that they are prevented from entering. Once expired operators will be informed that the patron previously caused issues so the they can be warned to be on their best behaviour.
Unlike some other systems Scantek ensures that a patron can not get around their exclusion by simply using another form of ID.
While this functionality is reserved for higher level staff, operators are able to request an exclusion on a patron for management to review. These requests are shown directly to management as soon as they use the Manager's Interface and can be researched further and dismissed or actioned if deemed appropriate.
The ability to exclude problem patrons has seen incidents immediately drop by an incredible 58% after installation of the Scantek system. If a patron know's they are already caught they are far less likely to cause any serious incidents.Back to top
Quickly Find Patrons
Scantek's Manager Interface is second to none. Just like the interface used by operators it has been specifically designed with usability in mind. Managers are able to securely but quickly find a patron who has entered the venue using a range of different criteria to narrow down the result set.
Why look through thousands of scans when you only need one? Scantek lets you limit your results by name, sex, age range, entry time, operator, ID type and entry status. You're even able to limit your criteria down to what shirt colour the patron was wearing.
Once found you're able to quickly view all other scans of that patron (within the last 28 days) and move easily between them giving you a range of different actions to perform including adding a VIP status, flagging the patron for further review, adding to an alert list, excluding from your venue or adding to your marketing list assuming you've been given permission.Back to top
Advanced Fraud Detection
Scantek features advanced fraud detection which will alert operators to any suspicious or devious behaviour from patrons. Underage or previously excluded patrons will attempt to cheat any system in numerous ways. At Scantek we're always one step ahead and utilise a number of different checks to ensure the patron entering your venue is who they say they are.
Scantek detects underage patrons, patrons who share IDs by alerting when an ID is probably being misused, tampered IDs through a number of checks and even includes the little details such as showing the operator a patron's star sign on the screen so if they aren't sure they can double check.
This proactive approach means that your venue is seen as doing the right thing which drastically improves licensing relations and aids any future licensing discussions.Back to top
Reward Loyal Patrons
Using Scantek's easy to use Management Interface you can reward loyal or repeat customers and even staff with VIP status. VIP status can be used to give your patrons free entry, vouchers, tickets or promo giveaways. How you choose to reward your loyal customers is up to your imagination.
You can create an unlimited number of VIP categories which can each have different messages, colours, entries and periods of validity. A patron can be a VIP all the time, just for the next 10 entries, only on Fridays or even only Saturdays between 9pm and 10pm.
Already have a list? Great! You can easily upload it directly to the Scantek Manager Interface to save you having to type everything a second or third time.
Once you've set up your VIP list you're then able to view easy to understand graphs which show when your VIP patrons are arriving.
